HI
This is the week of Feb 23rd. The readings this week for Thur and Fri are good ones to reflect on. On Thur, do we doubt that God is enough? Does he seem like a simple answer? God seldom sweeps in and fixes everything up in a way we can say "See, I told you God would work things out." Yet, with commitment, God does change lives and we need to know that truth to be able to offer it to "quick fix" seekers with confidence.
We'll talk more about our devotionals at our mission meeting, March 1 at 2:30.
Blessings, Brenda.

Week of Feb 16th
Hello,
This week I would be interested in hearing your reflections on Thursday, Feb. 19's devotional. What things have you done that have really connected with you in your faith? I have seen the greatest growth after I really took prayer seriously and made the time for it. I now pray often, through the day. Not bow your head long prayers but talking to God as I walk along. Try it and see how it just seems to make the rest of life seem so much more doable. Blessings to you each as you travel this week with God, may he protect you.

Hey Guys,
Amanda has better things to do on Saturday than to be calling everyone so let's hear from you. Thinking about today's reading, I am so hopeful that the people you all meet in Brazil will see Christ in you. This trip will be both fun and at times uncomfortable, it will give you each an opportunity to think about how Jesus travelled around without a home. The best we can offer as missionaries is the opportunity to know Jesus so let's make the time for Jesus to prepare us for this journey.

Crucial Devotions This Week!!!
I've already read the devotions for this week and I assure you while you read them think of your work in Brazil or just even your life as a Christian and you will feel how God is speaking to you. Think about the questions at the end of each devotion and answer the question to yourself.
I am asking that you answer the questions for Tuesday and Thursday on the blog as a group activity. I will check everyone's answers on Saturday and don't be surprized if I call you on Saturday as a reminder to do the activity.
Weekly devotion is as follows:
1John 4:19
Phillippians 3:10-11
Exodus 35:35
Psalms 90:12
Proverbs 10:17
Joshua 1:9
Blessings Amanda

We expect to hear from you once a week.

Mon Romans 8:31
Tue 2 Corinthians 3:3
Wed Romans 8:17
Thur 1 Thessalonians 5:13

Comment on Jan 26 reading
Hello Everyone,
Thanks for coming out to the meeting. Remember, doing devotions is part of the team agreement so you will each have to figure out where to fit it into your routine. Pay special attention to the reading from today Jan 26. If God is for us, who can be against us? It is not uncommon when you start to really do something in your life for God that a lot of negative, discouraging comments start to head your way. You have to be certain of your commitment to be able to stand firm when others try to pull you back from God. The enemy will try to make you doubt, to convince you to be lazy and blow off the commitments so I would ask you today to pray to God for the strength and courage to stand firm. You'll never regret it.
Blessings, Brenda.
